This was the view from our first breakfast spot. With this being the first volcano that most of us ever been close to, it was a jaw-dropping sight, especially with the occasional booms and ash coming from the peak.

This was our first night in Guatemala, the view from the Boys Airbnb’s rooftop terrace. Being the first night in the country, it was an insane view, being able to see lava coming out of the volcano Agua was truly stunning.

This is an area in the Iximché ruins, which is still used as a religious site to this day. There were many ruined structures scattered, with locals walking around, and even some children playing. Back further into the site, there is a collection of stone circles that can have fires lit on them, used in rituals which we got to see one of while we were visiting.

On our way to our Airbnbs on lake Atitlan, we saw this sunset over the lake and couldn’t help but stop, I feel that this shows how the beauty in this trip isn’t always planned or predicted.

This is the amazing view from the boys Airbnb.  It was amazing, especially after the long drive to the lake, having my first impression of the view be town lights forming constellations in the distance was one of my favorite views on this trip.

This is the view from the boats that we took around lake Atitlan. We went to the spot where we had lunch and cliff jumped and the area where we learned how the locals weaved clothing and blankets.
