An incredible 19 hours

We have had an incredible start to this adventure. Here is a quick recap:

In just under 10 hours we went from the familiar four squares in front of community life to the exotic volcanic landscape of Guatemala City.

We have eaten incredible food – chicharrones, the traditional dish of Lake Atitlan, frijoles with crΓ©ma, tortillas, and incredible desserts.

We have had countless cups of delicious local coffee straight from the Meneses farm.

We have discussed issues of happiness and development around a bonfire.

We have toured the Meneses farm.

We have driven through Guatemala City.

We cleared immigration.

We have flown kites to announce or arrival in the Mayan World.

We have gotten to know our incredible hosts and other amazing Guatemalan friends.

And so much more!

The student blog posts will start rolling in tomorrow morning. Get excited!
