The group is on its way to Guatemala! Despite the early departure (Mr. Kempe at 12:30am, Destiny at 4am, and the rest of the group at 6:30am), morale was incredibly high on the drive to the airport. Students could barely sleep and shared lots of things they were excited about – “the food at the Meneses’ house!” (Connor Duryea and Sophie Heath), “Mayan culture!” (Sally Shang), “hiking a volcano!” (Wesley Kennedy), and so much more. This is going to be an excellent adventure.
Mr. Kempe and the Meneses brothers will greet the rest of the group at the airport and transport them to the first Airbnb. We’ll send updates once the group is settled – please stay tuned for lots of posts during this epic international trip.
We are so happy for our son to have these experiences through CCS’ global education.

Make every minute count Seahorses. Focus on the moment and on each other and your hosts and guides. Forget everything and sink into a very cool experience. Discomfort is nothing compared to the memories ( Long Pham quote). Have fun and take care of each other. Thank your hosts every time you can.
