The 13 students and 3 teachers headed to Senegal are on board their initial flights to JFK. From there, we’ll be in the air for about 7 hours over the Atlantic before reaching Senegal. A feast awaits us!

The group is excited. We have a first time flyer, several people visiting Africa for the first time, some people flying out of the US for the first time, and a group that invoices a lot of friends but has never been assembled quite as is.

Thank you for the warm wishes for a great adventure. We carry that spirit with us and look forward to sharing our first images and thoughts from West Africa in just a few hours!
